Clayton Wood
After experiencing both public and private school, I asked my mom to homeschool me beginning in third grade. That decision shaped the remainder of my education through high school and cultivated an early love for learning and discipline. I graduated early and began attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville at fifteen years old, then earning my law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
I started my career working in constitutional law at the American Center for Law and Justice, where I had the opportunity to engage in meaningful legal work and advocacy. Over time, however, I felt a clear calling into ministry.
Today, I serve as the Executive Director of Thrive and Wears Valley Ranch, and as a teaching elder at Lonsdale Community Church. These roles allow me to invest in the lives of students, families, and the broader community in deeply impactful ways.
From speaking in courtrooms to preaching in churches, I have seen firsthand the power of words. My passion is to equip students with the ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and purposefully-preparing them for whatever calling God places on their lives.
