Linda Dizer graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, majoring in Biology and minoring in Physical Science. She earned her Master of Science in Teaching with a concentration in Biology from the State University of New York, Binghamton. Linda has taught various subjects in public and independent schools, ranging from seventh-grade life science, eighth-grade physical science, 9/10 grade biology, anatomy and physiology, marine science, forensic science, and environmental science for twenty-seven years. She was teacher and Science Department head at Girls Preparatory School for many of those years. She has presented workshops at State and National Science Conventions and has received several grants to further classroom enrichment.

When Linda was in 7th grade, she saw her older sister’s biology book and knew she wanted to teach biology. She saw God's amazing creativity on every page and has never ceased to love teaching about His beauty and creation. Linda and her husband John have lived in Connecticut, upstate New York, and Chattanooga, TN. In their retirement, they moved to Knoxville two years ago to be closer to their grandchildren. They are currently members of West Park Baptist Church. Linda has taught women’s Bible classes for decades, which is her greatest passion. Linda was active in a jail ministry in Chattanooga and instrumental in starting a Bible-based drug-free house for women coming out of addiction. Her hobbies include pottery on the wheel, traveling, and reading.
